I know I'm going to probably antagonize myself for saying it, but I didn't really like the way he wrote. I really like the story, for sure. It's been a great ride, but the seat wasn't very comfortable. I also joined in the story after 10 books were written and I basically read them back to back. They may have something to do with how I feel about the writing - I had to sift through all the "reminders to readers who read the last book years ago" stuff while it was really fresh on my mind.
I am glad to see that the final book will be published and it is sad that a fantasy author died so recently. Kudos to all of you for enjoying his work so much.

i only came to this series a few years ago. so i have had no waiting, just books there to read as i like. it was a fine recommendation from a friend. i am relieved to hear that book twelve will be published. no ending would be dreadful.
the man was a fantastic story teller. to have been able to share in his world, feel for his creations, is an honour and a privilage.
