I just signed on to this tribe to discuss another author and to see
what else was going on and immediately ran into The Wood Wife.
The thing is yesterday I was trying to remember the name of this
book....because I missed it, the story, the journey.

This is a wonderful book, totally makes you feel good. It started out
a bit slow but I was also a little weary. I'm so use to fantasy being
more renfair, magic, great battles and this book is set in today, starts
in cali and progress's to new mexico, where the fanatsy comes in
the form of american indian myth and animal spirits. Terri did an
awesome job with this book. I found it a very rewarding journey.

This book is incredible! She was orignially starting to write a book on Faeries, inspired by Brian Froud's artwork, and its morphed itself into Native American "faeries"(spirits) instead of Eurpoean!

I know a few people who have spiral tatoos, inspired by this book's mention of the spiral path.
