Reading Harry Potter and Philosophy: If Aristotle Ran Hogwarts. I gather it's part of a series of philosophy books that use all sorts of literature, etc for analysis, such as Buffy, etc. Really enjoy reading it and thinking about the ethics of Rowlings writings.

Made me think about some of the other fantasy books I enjoy. ONe of the reasons I enjoy them is that the characters in such stories, if they are to be good stories, need to be well-developed, strong characters with a full set of ethical and moral codes. For Fantasy and sci/fi to work it needs to be grounded in reality. Reality is most people have a full set of ethical and moral codes whether they know it or not.

Anyway, it's a good read.

I've read that book. I enjoyed it very much. It gave some great insight to the characters and the story, and helped me to appreciate the series even more.
